Every day seems to be a pitched battle against time. A race against the void which stands at the end of our days. But what is the source of this apprehension, this unending sense of desperation?
My thoughts drift to the fact that this final day is inventible, there is nothing that can
be done to stop it. However, I can try to understand it, prepare for it, and
find solace in the truth that have done what I could for who surround me with
love and affection. Understand that our thoughts on religion, or what comes
after are irrelevant to the fact that we must each do what we can to live each
day the best way possible.
For me personally, I have faith that there is something more beyond this plane and
that our souls will continue to evolve after we depart and travel to the next
life. It is this faith that I am trying to use to fight back the fear of the
unknown specter of death which lurks just beyond sight. Let my faith shine a
light upon it and reveal this shadow to be a doorway that should not be shunned.
Conversely, if you believe that nothing comes after this life then this by definition is your
foundational faith in the hereafter, and should drive you to be the best person
you can be every day to make life a little better for those who come after.
Each of us must ensure humanities sons and daughter have the privilege of existing in this
amazing world of ours.
Do not fear what is at the end, for this thought will consume you and it will come far
faster that you could have imagined.
Live in the moment, strive for truth, empower those around you, and fear not. The life you live will echo in the hearts and minds of those you have touched. You are part of all of us, and you will be remembered.
